I have a1941 BC12. I am looking for a brake assembly for the right gear leg. Does anyone have any? UPDATE: I got a lot of info and help. Big thanks to the forum

Are they Shinn brakes? I have a 46 BC-12D. Don't know if they are interchangeable, but I have some parts.

Hi Bruce, I could not find any names on the brake assembly. I did take some pictures if that would help? I could email or text them to you if I'm not able to down load to this site. Let me know if you can see the pictures.

I have the whole brake assembly for a 1946 bc12d taylorcraft,one brake shoe assy., springs, housing, wedges, adjuster bolt with nuts, plate assembly- left and right

Do yourself a favor & buy from Ken Hecht, a real stand up gent. Also don't use bigger cables, just the 1/16"IIRC it came with. Anything bigger won't work well.
