Gee I hate to write this, but... . I find I'm having problems navigating in two dimensions, much less three, and I may have bitten off more than I can chew.
So here goes:
N5188M, BC12D, 1947, purchased early in 2007. A&P has given OK to recover
Taylorcraft skylight parts purchased, (except the Plexiglas) not installed. Clayton STC. Fittings in place.
Windscreen is in pieces.
Various tools included specific to covering,
Prop: Sensinich replies too weathered to use
Engine: Had compression when purchased, not tried since then.
Covering: Ceconite, using Steward system. Tailfeathers have been covered.
Landing gear: One in good condition, other needs repair; I’ve built the splice, but it needs to be welded
Fuselage: Expoxy primed
Alerions: spars replaced
Wings: cleaned up only; all in good shape
Covering supplies: $1,300 worth. Some Ceconite cloth, Small amount of cement, all tapes, stitching needles, cord,
Hardware: based on Rob Lees order for nuts, bolts, etc.
Manuals/DVD/: 4 disc collection of L-2 engineering drawings, Stewart covering CD, Aircraft overhaul CD.
Documentation: Taylorcraft manual, AC-43.13-1B “Acceptable Methods …”. All logs, yellow tags, all 337s; Thumb drive containing all articles I found related to Taylorcraft repair.
Paid $8,000, added close to $2,000 in parts and hardware plus epoxy prime of fuselage. Asking $10,000. Stored in Oxen Hill, MD
