  • Set of MoonGlo cockpit lights

There is s set of two MoonGlo cockpit lights for sale on Antique Aircraft Parts Exchange (Facebook) at

These were used on many Taylorcrafts with Black Light Bulbs to light up the instrument panels at night. Took me YEARS to find a pair and these are up for $60.00 for the pair. Kurt Grasso 770-883-0815.

Not mine, just saw them and thought someone here would like them for their restoration.

Better be careful here or some will have flashbacks to the '60's and see Jimi Hendrix or Bob Marley's black light poster floating around the room.

Re: Set of MoonGlo cockpit lights

I have a pair (somewhere) with red lenses. No posters but memories of crewing ANL (All Night Long- adaptation of ADL for Airborne Data Link, alternately: All Day Long) P-2 flights over the Caribbean as 2nd Mech with the flight deck all lit in deep red. They would tune local stations in on IC and just use your imagination. I had a front row seat in the nose dome some flights the astro dome others.

If I pass my next 3C Medical I still plan to get in a few night flights and red is the only way to light up a panel in my book. Don't try to change my mind am too old for that. LOL
