Terry, quick question. What fuel valve is 'out - on'? Page 6 of 6.

Marty, on the previous restoration of my dad's 41, he had a cable operated valve at the wing tank. It was indeed a pull-on action. He now has place the selector handle on the valve in the wing root.

            Re: Placards

I think the early B models (1150lb GW, prior to '41 Deluxe) had a Vne of 127 mph.

it is 125mph for the Model A. 131mph for the early model B, and 129 if on floats. Oh, some of the early B airplanes had a gross weight of 1100 pounds.

                Re: Placards

My '41 BL12-65 (Deluxe?) as far as I know is the only one on the U.S. Registry still with original
                (O-145 Lycoming) engine.

On my panel is the original placard saying "Do Not Exceed 131 mph".

The Continental models said something different. 140 mph I think. Just not the Lycomings.

                  Re: Placards

The early B*12-65 airplanes had the 131 mph placards, but the type certificate says the number is 140mph. My dads airplane is a BC12-65 that was built 3 months before the type certificate says the model was approved.

...Mine was built in 4/41. N29885 is earlier than most on this thread.
TKS for the info. I plan to be careful. But good to know.

Dad's was test flown in January 1941. It has some stuff original to the airplane that is different than other later deluxe models. like hand made trim pieces before they were stamping Taylorcraft in them, and different window latches.
