Local plane that has seen winter snow loads and some neglect (in my opinion). Right aileron hinge bracket is broken from the snow weight and ?. Airframe and engine would need thorough inspection. Valuable aircraft if only for the mods which would be impossible today. N3666T.

That airplane was sitting there in 2006 to 2008 from what I remember, unless it was moved from Anchorage, there was one in Anchorage just like it too that sat. Tim

Yes Tim that's it...has sat for years. I've never seen it move but that's not 100%. Periodically the tires would go flat and be reinflated. The wing inspection covers were off for a few years. Snowload drooped the wings and both ailerons 15* or more until one separated at the bellcrank.

But as I noted it's worth whatever the mods are and could be restored. The end invested value would likely exceed the sellable price in a flip. I'd make an offer for the airframe and engine core if I were younger and had a hangar for a few winters.

      Current pics below.

Heard a lot..."I am going to restore that car some day" as it rots away... same with most of the abandoned airplanes on a lot of airports...

I doubt the owner will get asking price. He or they may not live here anymore from the neglect I've observed. Airframe recover and repairs; engine teardown and rebuild; instruments and electronics; all doable if your labor is free one part at a time. Would make a great floatplane someday...the floats are typically $5-15K plus any repairs. Sad.
