There are 2 types of hubcaps. One that has a single screw in the middle, and this one uses the tripod. The second uses 3 screws and has special long nuts for the bolts, the outside end is squeezed down for the screws. I'm not sure where my pattern is, but here is a picture for the spider. I'm sorry that the scale is not right, but it will at least give you an idea. The 3 screws that hold it on were #4 IIRC. The center screw was 1/4" I don't remember the thread size. It will need to stand tall enough to clear the axle, but short enough to hold the hubcap against the wheel.

I think the reason for the switch to 3 screws was the fact that they were losing hubcaps with 1 screw. The single screw hubcaps are harder to find, especially if they are in good shape. 20 years ago I found a NOS set that had quite a bit of surface corrosion. I was able to clean them up and paint them, and they still looked good.
