Re: Crispy Critter Needs More Help!

    Hey Crispy...

Any updates regarding the c-85 upgrade? Has anyone gathered up the drawings (approved data) yet. Any chance the factory want's to get involved and sell a "kit" with the necessary parts and prints??? If not the factory how about the owners club / foundation get behind this and make it happen.

    Rob-

Any idea why your authorities didn't go with the 1280 gross weight? Does it have something to do with the wing fittings?

I really want more power but I don't want to do the full -19 mod with the big baggage and electrics. Light, simple, low cost. My goal is a 750lb empty weight, Day VFR plane.

Re: Crispy Critter Needs More Help!

While tracking down some info on a one time STC for an 0-200 in a bc12d, I learned some interesting info from an FAA propulsion group guy from the L.A. ACO branch. I asked about the info Rob has in England for the C-85 swap. He told me the US has an agreement with the Brit's so we can use their data for approvals and they can use ours. If anyone out there has friends in the FAA please bounce this off them and see if they agree.
