    Yes I think so.

    T-craft ribs have p/n's that end in R and L and they represent if the rib flange is left or right and you find both kinds on each wing.

    Example;

    The butt rib on the left wing has p/n that ends in L. The next rib is an R , then 5 L's, then R-L-R-R-R-L-R-R.

    I am having trouble remembering without looking at some parts (or an assembled wing!) but I think that R or L means that flat side of the rib is on the right or left. Butt ribs are not a help in figuring it out because they are an assembly of an R and L.

    The out board aileron rib is and R on the left wing so R must define the flat side as opposed to a concave side.

      To be more clear, which side is the flange on? Both are used in each wing, just one more than the other.

        I think that the R and L define the which side of the rib is flat and therefore the other side is concave or cupped.

        I don't know how to describe a flange.

          I have prewar ribs that I would trade for post war. Mark
