Pre or post war? LH or RH? With or without light base? I have some that are damaged and could be used to make a new one (rusted TE end and all but the tube good). I may have a spare that is airworthy but would need to dig it out.
Hey Hank,
I appreciate the help, What I need and could have been explained better is the AILERON tip bow (trailing edge??). Goes from the aileron TE to the wood aileron tip rib. RH and LH are the same. No nav. light (wing bow). They are 1/2" in diameter, about 2 feet long, slightly curved, and have a "tab" welded on the outboard end that bolts to the wood aileron tip rib. Inboard end is flattened slightly to fit in the reformed TE stock.

Mike,
It is sitting on the guest bed right behind me. Looks super simple. Do you want dimensions and a sketch to make it or the one on the bed? I also got the wood piece (also something that could be made in a few minutes). The little "U" channel brace is shot but it is not a big deal. It was split, cracked or rusted in two on every aileron! Didn't seem to be doing much on any of the ailerons.
Hey Hank
I just need the steel tip bow. Yes, I can make one but I really have enough to do. The inboard 8" of mine is rusted off. I will make two "new" ailerons out of the stuff I have rounded up. I have the fittings, ribs, one TE bow, new TEs, and will make new spars and LEs. That way I will know what I have. All the old ailerons I have seen have needed new spars and spar plated anyway. What do you want for the steel bow?

Mike
I guess shipping is fine but I want to make sure anyone else who needs one in the future we will have enough info to make another. It has a lot of glue from the last cover on it that will need to be cleaned off but looks like with a clean, prime and paint it should be a good one. Send me your address and I will find out the shipping cost.

Hank,
Thanks, PM sent. Want the old rusted one?
Mike
Not unless it is different from the one I send you (for a second drawing). I will send a copy of the tracing with the tip bow. That way you can just send me a tracing of yours if it is different and I will check the stack for one like it. I am pretty sure they are all the same.
Mike, the tip bow is blasted, primed and ready to go. I did a first tracing of it and need to get a box big enough to ship it. I will email you to get your mailing address.
