A dust devil caused me to enter a shelter belt unexpectedly and has destroyed the pilot side leading edge for about 64 inches at the end of the wing I see that I can buy it from Aircraft spruce but the end section is 54 inches. Is the inner one which is 64 inches the same as the outer. Also in need of the last 5 ribs from the spar forward. As well as the landing gear brace that hooks to the bungee cord on the passengers side of the plane. No prop strike so that part is good just need time to get it back together. Re: Pilot side leading edge and parts
You can by a 12" wide piece of aluminum cheaper than the leading edge. Ribs are hit and miss on the market. New gear legs are available from univair. may be easier to replace the gear leg than repair it. TimN29787

Re: Pilot side leading edge and parts
Below are some links to discussions when I was exploring making new leading edges.
My existing leading edges were 0.016" thick. But I made new ones out of 0.020" thick aluminum because I wanted the LE's to be a bit tougher than they were previously.
The thicker material added 1.9# to the airplane's weight.

Gonna have to rebalance the airplane with that much. I put .032 in front of the tanks, that's where they get hurt! Tim
