Hey tribe, Buzz called me this morning asking if I knew anyone interested in his taylorcraft, he is motivated to sell. I believe he is loosing his hanger or bought another airplane and doesn't have room for it, I wasn't sure on which but he need to move it. I will forward his contact info privately to anyone interest and will also post some pics as soon as I get them. Kev
P.S. its located in northern Florida.
Hello Kevin,
Good to talk to you again. !@#$!It has been about 5 years since I visited with you at the airport.
Your parts helped me get the plane flying again...in good shape.
This BC12D has the A65-12 with electric. !@#$!Battery is one year old...Gill. !@#$!The transponder was yellow tagged about 4 years ago and has the encoder hooked. !@#$!Electric T and B, hand held Icom, hand held Garmin, 3 lights but no beacon or strobes.
Plane TT is about 1600 hours, !@#$!maybe 1200 since major and less than 400 since top. !@#$!Excellent compression at last annual, 70's. !@#$!Propeller is McC metal 'cruise' pitch and length. !@#$!
Both wing tanks are installed and hooked up. !@#$!I never have used the wing tanks for local flying here so the pilot/owner should look them over well before filling. !@#$!The cabin does not have the baggage D windows...original configuration. !@#$!Fabric is perhaps 1993 ceconite and has no problems or questions as this plane has been hangared as long as I have known it. !@#$!Gear was recovered after checking for rust 5 years ago. !@#$!Brakes work as well as originals ever did!!!!
Sorry to have rounded the numbers off on TT but log books are at home and I cannot remember exact figures. !@#$!The strut AD (ultrasound) was completed and preserved with LPS 4 years ago. !@#$!Will need update and sealing now. !@#$!The plane is ready to fly away today with either annual or ferry permit.
I will not let the plane set out in the weather so it must be sold to give more space in the hangar. !@#$!I started out last year at 21,000, lowered to 17,000 this year and this week lowered the ad in Barnstormers to 14,000. !@#$! And I am open to offers. !@#$!Not really looking to plane "brokers" or tire kickers, but money talks.
Thanks, Buzz
