military S/N

Hi Folks,

Getting toward the end of my project and trying to figure out what is the usually seen 6 digit number on the vertical tail. I have seen numerous photos with six digit number on the tail, which I have not being able to figure out. My Military S/N is 43-26243 and factory # is 5555. Ready to cut some stencils as soon as I figure this out. Any input will be highly appreciated.

military number is what goes on the tail less the 4 so your displayed number should be 326243
