Does anyone have a recommendation for what type of bungee cords to be used on an L-2B? Just found mine listing to the right in the hangar. Also, does anyone have a tool availabe for sale to install the bungees? I have a brand new BC-12 bungee tool I can trade if anyone is interested.

Re: Bungee Cord Recommendation
I have the factory tool and use it here in my shop.
11104 ( 11/16" diameter by 10.5 in around) is correct for the L-2B ; watch out for the early ships that used the smaller cord, the shock struts will fit all the ships.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: Bungee Cord Recommendation
Forrest,
I don't know if this matters, but I have the round lower struts that attach at the lower part of the landing gear, not the streamlined ones. I'll have to measure the current cords and see. Anything I should look for to determine size of struts? You probably don't loan that tool out, do you??? (Do you remember I currently do what you used to do)?Cheers,
Marty

Re: Bungee Cord Recommendation
Forrest,
Can do on the pic, ship is 35 miles away and it may take a day or two before I can get down there. Do I just ship you the struts??? Yes, you remember correctly, she is a parts ship. No luck on the build date for my S/N then? Dick told me the round struts were probably due to wartime shortages of streamlined material when those parts were built. Thanks again!Last edited by M Towsley; 01-01-2007, 21:52.Cheers,

Re: Bungee Cord Recommendation
thanks Dick, WE have to get together , ward off cabin fever, come to Alliance. OR I come there! A reminder that a few ships have the struts interchanged over the years, egads some are even built up from spare parts.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc
