  • L2 front wing spar thickness

Can someone tell me the thickness of the L2 Taylorcraft front wing spar

  • #2
31/32" from memory and confirmed measuring 3 spars I could access. I've got the drawings that I built rib jigs from but they are on my home network and not accessible from my hangar.

Really hard to read 80 year old drawings. I did not see the dimension I was looking for. Do you see it anywhere on these drawings?

Try these. Thickness is 15/16" +1/32/-0".

So it looks like the wood spar thickness is 15/16 and the rib spacing needs to be 31/32 which will allow 1/32 clearance for the rib to fit over the spar.
