Hi All,
I am new to this forum and wanted to take some time and introduce myself. My name is Max Platts, and currently my wife and I are in the process of purchasing an L-2A project.
My wife and I both cut our teeth flying J-3's and now work for CubCrafters and fly Carbon Cubs and the new XCub quite a bit.
We are looking to get back to our roots and get back into flying old airplanes and the L-2 seems like a perfect match for us.
We are looking at getting an L-2A project and have been working with its current owner. The Taylorcraft c/n is 4282 and I believe that the USAAF number is 42-15155. I am looking to find any information on this particular aircraft that would aid in the restoration. I would like to make it as true to original as I can so any information would help us greatly.
Thank you in advance and I look forward to joining in the conversations on this forum!
