  • Legal part numbers and WTB Metal prop for L-2M w/C85

I am new here... I have a L-2M with a C-85 and a cracked wood prop. I have it on Skis and my (almost brand new >25 hrs) wood prop is cracked at the hub. It could use some more performance on Skis so I am thinking about switching to a metal prop.

Can anyone point me to a list of legal metal props, and if anyone has one for sale, I am in the market.

Hey Doug, long time no see. Welcome to the forum.

Have you talked to Mike George to see what is on his C-85 L-2M? I will give his mechanic a call and have him check. Mike was talking about getting rid of his metal prop and putting on a wood prop. I will see him later this afternoon and can see if he is still planning on that change.

Miss the Axis Nightmare B-25 days, Pink Panther. Lol!
    Cheers,
    Marty

      Doug,

The current prop on Mike's is a 71-48.

I remember it has really good take-off and climb performance.
      Cheers,
      Marty

        Hello Doug,

Just to echo Marty's sentiment: Welcome to the Tribe!

(I guess you can't maintain a tailwheel rating on a B25, so you've had to get a little taildragger to keep up the handling skills? )
