Re: Stc sia-210
Larry,
Something in my mind tells me that those are superceded drawings. If not, I'll have a copy in my shop, and will PM you as soon as I have a definate answer. Lots of luck getting any help with the STC..it's fallen in a "black hole" along with some other things, and is tied up to remain there for a long time.

Re: Stc sia-210
Just went through the drawings( 30 of them) and have found a 337 dated 6/24/83 on the FAA cd that says, among other things, that "this conversion was found done using STC SAI-210 and parts obtained from the Taylorcraft factory and drawing list D-171 and G-172 revised Feb 22,1973. All drawings were obtained from Gilberti Aviation and hand delivered by Jack Gilberti personally." For what that is worth. I do not have an STC document in any of the paperwork.
Who is Jack Gilberti and /or who is Gilberti Aviation? Am I ignorant of some history here or is there any reason for more info to be unavailable? A tarbaby maybe?? ;o)
Thanx for your help. Larry

Re: Stc sia-210
Jack Gilberti was Chief Engineer at Taylorcraft, Conway, Pa and developed the " Gilberti STC sited" It was purchased by Robert Harer and became the " Harer STC" He died and it is in limbo.... The Foundation has a complete copy set here in Alliance. Basicallly it takes a BC12D and makes it in to a BC12D-85 or BC12D-4-85 ( TC 696) OR the "Equivalent" of a

Re: Stc sia-210
Larry,
To actually "answer" your request from the first post... drawing G-171 is the list of drawings required to comply with "options 2&3" of that STC (conversion to a BC12D-4-85 or to Model 19). I'm not showing any reference to G-172, but maybe it's the "Gilberti Aviation Instructions" that follow G-171 that I have?? As far as the actual "STC cover page", they weren't kept often back then, as they are nowadays. I run into this alot. As long as a 337 was filed back then, and you have a copy of that along with the log entry, you are legal. I'm fairly sure someone on here would have an actual STC cover page that you might get a copy of...I don't. I do have the other 2 pages I mentioned and would be happy to email you a copy of both. PM me if you want.
