Are you scratch building new gear? How do you plan on installing them?

We may have them here, but they are welded in.....what is wrong with yours?

I have a couple of sets. They are NOT perfect, but I can shoot a pic your way when I get home tonight and let you make the determination. They're NOS and have been stored a long time.

I have the landing gear but someone has cut the end of the axles off in the attempt to convert it to a cleveland brake setup. I have all the original shinn brakes and parts, and I have already removed the existing axles. I do not know how the other Taylorcraft axles are held in place but on my 1939 BL-65 they were held on by one bolt, they were not welded.

AT last a revelation..... real old landing gear, give me the dia. of the inboard part of that axle , back then they were swaged to form the taper, you could have a machine shop turn two new ones. let us check first for axles for you.

Never heard of that on a "B" model. And I have even had some "A" gear at the shop. I assume the axle would be identical to an L-2 axle then? I should have some extra ones of those.

I am willing to bet his was modified..... He called today. I am looking , he is to measure what he needs , perhaps the D axle will work. He is in Hawaii and an A&P go direct to him and see what you can do, thanks
