C-85-12 on short mount

Looking for some tips on installing a c-85-12 in a short mount, specifically installing the slick mags. Do I need to move the engine forward to get the harness installed? I was able to get the mag in place, but there is not enough space to even pull the timing pin out. looks like the wires will touch the firewall as well, Thanks,Mike

Had to move the engine fwd to do anything mag related.

I did a C-90 on a short mount in a Clipwing. I have a shortened timing pin for a Slick mag in my tool box, and that may be why. it was several years ago.
