    For just a slight turn it could be something as simple a change in actual RPM compared to what is shown on the tachometer. Other things like a twisted chain on the tailwheel or rudder return springs can cause havoc too. The chains can sometimes fix themselves without any outside influence.

      Tom,

      It was originally lifting the wing on the takeoff run. I have a digital tach and have checked the tach readout. I did not see anything wrong with the rudder return springs but will take a look again. Thanks!

        It could also be tailwheel spring.
