ailerons adjustment

I have a question about adjustment on the ailerons. With the yoke centered the right ailerons moves a lot further then the left. The left yoke has stops on it and with the yoke center it turns farther to the left then it will to the right. If I center the stops the yoke is not centered. Seems to me that I should not have to redrill the shaft the yoke is mounted to. Can anyone help

Sounds like a major "out of rig". It isn't that hard to rig the ailerons and NO, you DON'T need to redrill the wheels. The wheel being off can be corrected by moving the chain on the shaft sprocket. That is NOT the only thing to do though. All of the parts need to be set up correctly. It's a shame I am on the opposite coast (Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay) from California. Once you have done it once it is pretty easy to do, but not so easy to explain.
Is there anyone close who has rebuilt a Taylorcraft? There should be lots of guys who took their wings off for the strut fiasco. You SHOULD check the aileron rig when you put the wings back on so all the planes out there should have people with experience.

Hank is right, do a search here and you will find a lot of info on how to rig everything, including the stop that keeps you from winding the chain off the sprockets.
