  • 1.75" and 3" pulleys

    Hey gang,

I had contacted "Ralmark" the company that produces aircraft pulleys about replacement ball bearing style pulleys for my bird. They said I would have to get them through "Taylorcraft Aviation" yeah right!

Looking for part #4227 and #4228. Is there anywhere else I guy could find a set of these new BB style pulleys other than Harry Ingram's ghost town

What's wrong with your original ones, Jason? I re-bushed mine for another 60 years of life. Much cheaper than new ones too.

      Eric,
I ordered mine from t-craft over 2 years ago. After waiting 6 months I went straight to the maker.Complete set for the entire airplane was about $260....I don't remember thier name but I have it wrote down somewhere.I'll see if I can find it later.

Well boys, I actually got someone on the phone at Taylorcraft (Brownsville)today. They have the pulleys in stock at about $20 each. I also got an e-mail back from the manufacture "Ralmark" and he says at this time there is no PMA on the pulleys so he is not selling them to anyone but Taylorcraft and they are responsible for inspecting and certifying them (8130 tag)

Rob- Mine could still be used, but I wanted to get that smooth ball bearing feel. Perhaps I could go the same route as you did but install bearings instead of bushings?
