Hello, I recently bought a 46 BC12D Swick project that I am starting on from another member here. I am looking for wing drawings or blueprints if anyone has them available. Would certainly make rebuilding wings a bit easier as they are disassembled and the only drawings i have right now are the Swick and Duane Cole ones. Would be good to have a baseline to work from. Thank you!

The drawings I am doing are using three different wings as a basis but Ian (taylorkuk) is right. I am finding all kinds of minor differences. I think they built them with what they had and following the drawings exactly wasn't a priority. It is a bit more of a priority for us since we aren't doing it every day. The guys who built them in the day did it EVERY day. We don't have that level of experience, so we need to try to keep what we assemble somewhere in the range they did. They made it fit and made it work. Sometimes they even fixed the drawing if it didn't work that way. Sometimes.

Thanks for the info from both of you! It definitely makes sense. I've been working with Luscombe's the last several years and there is definitely a bit of that there as well. have learned that no two are alike at all. Seems like a lot of the pre and post war small planes were "hand built mass produced" which left a lot of discretion to the builders.

The drawings will be "as close as examples will allow". What would be good is if anyone who uses them would mark them up with any differences they find from wings they are tearing down. Then we could determine where the average is and that is probably as close as anyone will ever get to what Taylorcraft wanted to build.
