  • Felt attach

    Good Morning Tribe,
How are the felt baffle seals attached from the factory? I am rebuilding mine, and they were stapled on with what looked like a heavy duty paper stapler that I cant seem to find. any suggestions?

They are a wire staple, installed by a staple machine. You might be able to recreate that with the same diameter wire by hand.

      Re: Felt attach

I have bent my own before with just the right width pair of pliers. My dad had some staples from an industrial type staple gun that we would slice the staples of, and they seemed to work OK.

I might try bending my own then, I was also thinking if I could get to close the right size staples for an industrial type gun, I could make a buck to fold the staples over for me. thanks for the info guys!

The staples were removed on my baffling years ago when the felt was replaced. My felt is installed with safety wire in the holes where the staples were. It's a very clean installation.
