  • I need a part number

I need to know the part number for the sprocket wheel that the trim cable wraps around at the rear elevator assembly. It is a pulley that the trim mechanism attaches to at the junction of the elevators.

On the planes with a tab the cable goes around a pulley, not a sprocket. There is a pulley at both ends, which is why we have so many problems with the cables slipping.

Plus it is not readily available. Give Forrest Barber a call and see if he has any in his parts cache. Some of the guys have made them over the years, hopefully if anyone has one they can help you.

I found this after a simple search using the search box. Unsure if he still has them, this was a comment from Forrest in 2010:

      Rear trim pulley; B12-461 ; NOS, Barber Aircraft , 13820 Union Ave NE Alliance, Oh 44601 $12.50 plus $4.50 S&H .

Re: I need a part number

I still have a few owner produced pulleys for the aft trim. I don't have any front pulleys anymore.
Everyone that has one that I made has had good results - in case Forrest is out of pulleys.
