  • Improvements to F21A during rebuild

During the rebuild of my F21A I decided to secure the seat cushions to keep them from moving around yet for easy removal when required. I added snaps to the kick plate for the bottom cushion and added snaps with short strap material to attach to the baggage compartment wood plate. Click image for larger version

I also added a PTT switch to the yoke by fabbing an aluminum bracket to attach to the bolt securing the yoke. Made the bracket to fit tightly to the yoke and added nylon wire protector to the wire coming thru the yoke rod. Left enough wire under the panel to follow the yoke rod movement yet tight enough to not cause any interference with the controls. The rod hole under the panel was behind the sprocket considering clearances. Worked so good even my 10mo old granddaughter Click image for larger version
