  • F22 in England

    Thanks, Bob

Our F22 tailwheel flew across the Atlantic in 1989 (or thereabouts) in formation with a nosewheel version. About 50 hours ferry time from Pennsylvania to Souther England. These two are the only of type in the UK.

Aircraft now registered as G-BVOX (ex-N221UK), pictures at www.taylorcraft.org.uk/BVOX-photo-Album.htm

It took over 9 years to get a UK Certificate of Airworthiness, because the UK authorities were not happy with the standards from the then factory.

So she only has about 200 hours now since new.

    F21B in Texas via Australia

Here is a current pic of my newly purchased F21B. The airplane was originally shipped from the factory to Perth, Australia and assigned the number VH-XAS. This was the last F21B model produced. I recently purchased her from an Australian owner who had been keeping her in California for the past couple of years.

Currently undergoing an annual inspection, repair of a leaky fuel tank and some mods to the insturment panel. Hopefully she'll be flying by late January 2004.
