  • Quick drain O ring

Is there any availability for the O rings on the 65hp quick drains?
They have a flat on one side, I don't see why a regular O ring wouldn't work providing it was the correct thickness??
Is there a correct way to remove them other than hot water & stretch?
Looks like the end is riveted on but I can't really see?? The plug would come completly apart, I think, if it was threaded on.

    I HATE dripping plugs

Switch from Curtiss quick drains to Safe Air. Nobody seems to sell the special O ring for the Curtiss.

This 2006 thread refers to McFarlane aviation seals, part number CACCA1269
