I recently installed Millenium Cylinders on my BC12. The engine runs great, I have good power, however, I have noticed that the engine now runs hotter by narly 20 degrees. Up to 200 from 180 before. Has anyone else who switched to Millenium cylinders had this problem? I know there is a slight difference in shape of the new cylinders. The spark plugs seem to sit lower than they did previously.

I have just over 200 hours (SMOH) on new Millenium cylinders and I am consistently running about 200 degrees (less in Iowa winters!!). My compression is excellent so it may be a trait of the cylinders. Other comments are sure welcomed about this topic. Before the MOH I ran about 160-165 degrees.TF# 371

Re: Engine running hot
I've recently switched from mineral oils (W80/W100) to Shell's 15-50 Oil and noticed a decrease in the engine temps. During the summer months, which have been very hot this year, I've noticed a drop of around 15 degrees F compared to previous years.TF#405
