  • engine mount rubbers

I replaced the engine mount rubbers with new ones from Aircraft Spruce. After one year in use they show weatherchecking around the exposed edges. The old ones after 30 years installed did not weathercheck. Before buying these mount rubbers I suggest that you confirm the manufacturing date. I hate to pull the engine to install another set.

Did you buy the new set from aircraft spruce? I am having the same problem with a set I replaced abt 2 yrs ago.

Don't worry, Rich, they all do that these days. It's only the exposed edges.

If you were to remove them, you would find them in perfect condition where it counts.

We get about 5 years/1000 hours out of new rubber mounts.

I get the same problem on my mounts. When I last replaced them with new ones, the old were fine except for the edges.
