Tribe- I've been working on this for a long time and finally put it together. To many of us, the legacy of the Flying Coles Airshow is something we really want to keep alive. They were an inspiration to so many through the years. It is a shame that information about Duane's Taylorcraft is so hard to come by. For years I have scrounged all the historical info I could about the clipwing Tcraft and have recently been working towards my dream of flying airshows in mine.
A few weeks ago I was able to obtain a set of the Duane Cole Clipped Wing Taylorcraft plans. I had been in contact with Duane's brother, Marion and had come up empty handed. Marion passed away a few weeks ago after a long illness. I placed a wanted ad on Barnstormers and a really nice fellow responded. They did not cost me anything and came from a friend of the Coles. I made as many calls as I could making sure that it was ok to circulate these. I will never charge for them- if you want a set email me and I will send them to you electronically- we had them scanned. I am also willing to post them on here as a resource for anyone interested.
With aviation legends slowly going west, it is important that this stuff be preserved for those that value it. I feel blessed to have met Duane and Marion. They were the real deal.
So- my offer stands. If anyone wants the plans just drop me an email. If anyone has the ability to post them on here as a folder that would be great too.

I would like a copy of the Cole plans if its not too late.
And would your clipped wing T, be able to take two seats?
I would be really interested in building one, but only if I could take someone else up with me.
Ok- I think I am up to date on mailing out all the requests for plans. If anyone got left off the list just let me know and I will get them right out.

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.
I would love to have a copy of Duane Cole's clip wing plans.
My Dad and I used to go down to Harlingen for the Confederate Air Force airshow every year in the early 1970s. The warbirds were fun to watch, but Duane Cole and his Taylorcraft was by far my favorite part of the weekend. Energy management and skill beats brute force any day!
Ok- Just got caught up on emailing all the plans. Let me know if yours did not come through. Several servers are kicking it back due to the nearly 20 meg file size.
