I have my eye on a Vaughn clipped wing T Craft. It is single place, 100HP with inverted fuel/oil. I'd like to put dual rudder pedals/brakes, dual shoulder harness and a bench seat to have the option of using it as a two place. (You'd fly with the stick in the middle but use the outer rudder pedals if you're flying solo). Does this seem feasible? My only real concern is potential wing loading at gross weight with the shorter wings. Any thoughts?

Re: Vaughn Clipped Wing T Craft
You might be able to change it back to a bench seat and dual pedals depending on how the changes have been made. I think wing loading should be OK for normal flight with 2 people, but you might want to limit acro for solo flight only. Of coarse this all depends on all the modifications that have been made. Tom

Re: Vaughn Clipped Wing T Craft
Mine was 2 place, dual rudder pedals and I flew it like I stole it with 2 on board. . . . by myself I flew it from the middle with the outside rudder pedals. Feasable and practical. When flying dual I had to be careful because full aileron deflection was difficult. As for the weight and loading. . . . .no problems there.Eric Minnis

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.
