Hello everyone! I am trying to assemble a T-cart that I purchased recently, but has been stored for10 yrs. My IA seems to be having trouble as he has never worked on a clip wing before.N1033M has only 10 hrs before a landing accident bent the undercarriage. This has been repaired and now sits on a new Grove one pc gear,aluminum1''x5'' w8.50x6 tires.Sits like a C180. My question is installing the wings they seem to have a neg diheadral or anhedreal? What is the correct adjustment for the wings? He has also stated that the aileron cables seem to be hooked up backwards. Its probably obvious that we don't have any plans or prints to go w/project.This is my third T-craft and I hope to be able to fly X-C as well as beginer acro. I am at 0B2 Brewer,Maine and also have a T-18,C-172,And a 2+2 0n floats. Will send pics of T-craft soon ,when assembled. Thanks,Rick Grindal, the flying Tinman

Re: new member needs to know
It depends on what clip wing conversion you have as to how some of the things are done. Like the aileron hook up. Most have a fixed length front strut, so you can not change the dihedral. 0 degrees will look like the wings are drooping, and even if they are it will not hurt anything. Tom

Re: new member needs to know
Hi again! And thanks for the reply! some more info on my T-cart.It was built using info from Kenny Blalockand a set of Swick and Cole plans. Larger doublers placed front and rear of spar at all attatch points. wings were shortened 3'-9" each. Wing attatch point fittings were manufatured using flat stock. Strut attach points strengthened by welding of chromolly stiffiners. Wings were modified for 18gal 5051 .050 aluminum. Single piece leading and trailing edge built from .025 T3 aluminum. One spade to each aileron. Anyway, the wings were from the Duane Cole plans. I will send more info if requested,we are commming along ok on the reassembly. thanks, again,Rick Grindal, flying tinman.

Re: new member needs to know
I looked at that plane shortly after it was damaged in Oklahoma. I remember it being mostly Swick and being a really well done conversion. Make sure you guys engineer the landing gear attach points to properly carry the loads- from what I saw it failed because the design. . . not a bad landing. I designed a spring gear for a clipwing years ago and to my knowledge it is still doing great. Robbie Grove should still have it on file- I think he charged me $250 for the brackets- they mount to the stock locations and sandwich the 1 piece Grove gear.Eric Minnis

Eric,Thanks for the info. she's allready sitting on Grove gear. My design, but with blessings of grove and my IA.Its 5" wide x 1" thick. Part of the original gear (C-120/140) design was simply to bolt both sides to the tubing!!!! 3 bolts and no give except the tubing!! now its a one pc unit not bolted in, butclamped in with two tiny roll pins to keep it in place for side to side movement for flexing in center of gear.Cant Wait!!! Thanks, flyingtinman.

Re: new member needs to know
The one I designed and built was about 15 pounds heavier than stock. It was a grove unit with brackets that mounted in the stock location.Eric Minnis
