  • Anyway to certify a new clipwing now?

Since Swick won't sell STC's, is there an easy way to get a clipwing apporved? I have a '41 Standard waiting in the wings I want to clip for speed.

I suppose you might get a field approval based on the Swick stuff, & there's the one time STC route (which I've no experience with). Talk to your local FSDO guys to see how receptive they might be.

The Swick stuff is "approved data" a lot of it is out there. I flew Leisa Marie this evening, 9 STC's & Standard Category, I have all the 337's....... I would like to see you use a 1946 BC12D airframe. e-mail me direct...
