    Picture or painting? If it's a painting, the guy sure had to paint fast as they flew by!

      When I scanned it, and blew it up, it appeared to be from a painting. you can see the shawdows from what looks like the canvas texture.

        Not a painting. Detail in the trees, autos, buildings, etc. are too correct.
        The old postcard printing method was not high resolution back then. They used a B&W negative, probably 8x10, contact printed on paper with a canvas texture. Hand colored it with oil paints. Reproduced it on postcard stock using a three color offset printing process.
        Everything above reduced the definition making it look even more like a painting.

          Yep that is how it was done, I have the black & white here somewhere. That is the new office building. I ahve two cards here. thanks Bob that is neat......
