  • Rodman Library Alliance, Oh

Here we have a web site www.rodmanlibrary.com then go to Alliance Memories on the left and search away "taylorcraft" will give you 57 pages of pictures. There are many new things going up there in 2006. Those pictures are mainly mine that I rescued years ago.
There are interviews being done, tapes being copied and all sorts of neat stuff. I will add to this thread as it happens!
WE will try to recaption the pictures, the library staff scanned and posted to the site without much knowledge of the names and places. edit 2-6-06 by Forrest the direct link is

    Re: Rodman Library Alliance, Oh

WE have now added quite a few more...

the above link should take you direct to the Taylorcraft Picture gallery, these are the ones I rescued many years ago as they were headed for the dumpster. Duke Iden & I are going in soon to change the captions as we know them. The volunteers who did the scanning used the penciled notes on the backs of the photos. they did a great job & we will complete the mission. Many other Taylorcraft items will be coming up soon at the Library. Notice they even scanned the negatives, reversed them and there they are. Many pictures have never been seen before. Enjoy!! Now you have the real interiors etc..

        Forrest,

Where are the new pictures, Forrest??? I can't seem to find them. By the way, great idea, I really enjoy these snapshots back in time. Any info on the Aircraft Directorate stuff you talked about in the newsletter??? Thanks.

Thanks for the link to the wonderful photos. I spent probably 2 hours so far viewing them, and will be spending more; they're just great. I'm glad the Alliance library has chosen to preserve this important history.

We have other stuff going into the archives too! They are doing a huge remodel and we may got get back in for a month or so. Go to the Main page www.rodmanlibrary.com , go to Alliance Memories and search ( Duke Iden) for an audio of his life lots of TAylorcraft stuff there too. Microphone placement is terrible, we are going to clean it up and add a lot more interviews as time permits.
I mentioned this site about two months ago , any NEW pictures were then added after that time, so if you got on only recently , you have seen them all.
