Re: Annual Taylorcraft Foundation Renewal for 2009

Hear Hear, maybe Hank is on to something. I am a long way from computer literate but I am on here at least once once a day and sometimes several times a day. I see little bumps that I can not fix, but I can flag them. Having met Forrest I know him to be a gentleman I can like and get along with; but I see the ball dropped, here on line, a lot. With my little free time I know I could do some good if we have/had a way to integrate all this. We probably need a conference call to debate all this but I have no problem calling in on my nickel to help make this happen. I know that I can express (and receive) more in person, verbally, in 5 minutes then I can in a half an hour by email. I would volunteer to put this conference call together if it would help, or maybe we put together an informal meeting at Oshkosh to hammer out some of the minor details.

I feel we need to use available current technologies while keeping all the goody from the old world, like camaraderie, honesty, and most importantly not scaring/driving away those away who are not comfortable with all this techie stuff.

Believe me I do not take anything away from the current moderators, they put in more time then we realize, but I have been here 3 years, paid my dues, and been told by Forrest that I must put my "nonexistent" foundation number in the subject line if I want a response from him. I can appreciate his position, and do not think his request to be out of line, but I think he needs a bit of help.

I am a member of several chat groups and most do not come close to being as useful as this one!

I learn new things every day. Josh thank you for the reminder to keep up with technology. I have a manual system for the Taylorcraft Foundation members, it is in seven big notebooks and the filled out application merely is easier to handle. Fill out the app..... I just found Larry Lyons , Stockton, Ill. , on the wrong e-mail system, with an outdated application form , all wil be right this afternoon.

u WE only screw up a few times.; thanks Bob for your kind thoughts and all the other guys. too!
You will find out in a few hours where I have been and what I have been doing for Taylorcraft. Somebody mentioned combining a check to the Owners Club & the Foundation... THE OWNERS CLUB is no longer near me; Bruce Bixler "sold" it off. So in a nut sheel ; do not send combined checks for drawings, parts, etc. Forrest Barber is an independent Consultant in many areas. Barber Aircraft sells the parts and related Taylorcraft items. The Foundation still affords the members of the Foundation the opportunity to access the records, techical data and my brain , and the collective brains of the tribe members.
www.barberaircraft.com is being updated next week to make this clear as to the titems here for sale and trade. MANY members just stop on , fill their basket, pay and leave. keep tuned today.

"U screw up now and then!"

After paying my dues this year I went looking for what I had paid to date. Found where I payed in 07 and 09 but not in 08, DUH! If asked, I would have sworn on a stack of bibles I had paid every year.

No complaints here, I have already learned enough here from Forrest and the tribe to save more then the cost of my dues for the rest of my life.
