The Taylorcraft Forumn this year at Sun-N-Fun will be on Friday, April 15th, 2005 at 1PM in Tent#6.
Forrest Barber, Executive Director of the Taylorcraft Foundation will moderate the program. The Taylorcraft Foundation will have an audio-visual presentation on the "History of Taylorcraft". Other presenters are invited to contact Forrest for inclusion in the Program. WE may have a table in the Type Club Tent if we can get volunteers to man the booth. Lets hear your comments here and if you will be avaialble to help out. Thanks Forrest

      Re: Sun-n-Fun 2005 April 12th - 18th.

Well we did it!! I arrived SNF on Thurs eveing on the field , thanks to Bob Ollerton and his other good buddy Joe who had the condo for me, wrist band, food, beer and other good stuff. Bob worked a lot that day and the previous one getting our discussion group back in order. What a mess it was.
WE do appreciate you Bob , some posts were lost as he explained on another thread. The Forumn on Friday went off real well with about 75% of the tent full. I displayed some scanned photos of the early history of Taylorcraft that Doug Taylor had provided to me.
The members got to see The Loomis Special, Chummy, E-2, Taylor-Bird, the Rover ( a canard ship before Rutan) , the Meteor ( a twin). and other neat stuf from the Taylor family album. At the forumn we then went into a discussion of parts availability and some technical problems, not much was said about the factory operation. Apparently Harry Ingram was not at SNF or at least no one saw him and let us know. The folks from Wag-Aero were there to listen to our needs and addressed the group explaining what they ahve and what they are going to do for us concerning parts. More soon duty calls here in Alliance , We were there on the porch Sat & Sun Too!!
