Re: 1939 Taylorcraft BC-65 N22618 ser#1266
Hi Mike,
To add a little to Howard's info, the FAA CD says that my BL, NC22606, S/N 1247 was manufactured 5/5/39. Should be close to the same date as your NC22618, but its not listed on the 5/6/39 delivery notice copy that I have. Doesn't mean a thing though I'm sure because they seem to be out of sequence mostly anyway.
I attached a few copies from the CD here just because I thought they might be of interest. Livingston Airways in Waterloo Iowa delivered 22606 that same week to the first private owner, also in Iowa.
Congrats of the project!

Thanks Mike.Thats getting pretty close to the one I have.I hope I get my cd this week.I enjoy reading the history on these old planes. This airplane was on floats in Florida years ago for awile and was torn down for recovery in 1982.It was purchased by a freind of mine and brought to ohio and has been in storage since.About time to get this old bird back in the air.
