      HI Len,
Sure sorry to hear you are getting out of T-Crafting. You were always one of my favorite posters with very practical solutions to problems. Since you wrote the best signature line on the forum, I will miss seeing it, but I might "borrow" it someday if you don't mind. Fits me to a "T".

I too hope you hang out on the Tcraft Forum in the future.

      Best Wishes,

Len please stick around. This "licence" bit has its ups and downs. ARound here , we use the "mirror" test if you look in the mirror and you look good , go fly.
I still pass 2nd Class and intend to never fail. Hope you hear from u in the future.

I had one ANE who would never pass a diabetic. In fact he took all hope away from them. I quit sending students to him when the FAA started issuing special issuances and there were AME's who agreed with the program. Unless its just time to hang it up get another opinion. I do believe the use of insulin is not authorized.
          Do stick around.

I was air boss when a fellow under authority of the FAA was using an insulin pump as he was flying aerobatics. I do not recall his name but I am sure I can find it right after putting on the snow-plow and getting big tractor ready for Winter. This pilot has information sent back to the ground showing his vitals at all times during the flight. I too had sensors on my body one time during the aerobatic routine in the Clip Wing. It was interesting to review my blood pressure, pulse, breathing rate & blood sugar ..... I was more relaxed after I took off than on the ground before the flight . AOPA is a great source of information on AME's and the FAA physicals....
