Hi, new to forum but joined Foundation nearly a year ago. Waiting on paint to complete repaired wing. Sensenich has prop for refinishing. Marvel has MA2 carb, waiting to see what they say...
Biggest question right now is on magnetos:
Has anyone put impulse mags on a Lyc O-145? Is there a spacer available?
I'm torn between getting the old Bendix Redbanks rebuilt or switching to new Bendix mags and harness????
Price is within a few hundred dollars if I buy the "kit" from Continental but the kit has one impulse and one non-impulse mag.
(I still need a new harness even if I keep the old mags which starts to even out the price)
Appreciate any help! I've searched all the forums and looks like lots have updated mags on their Continentals but cant find anything on the old Lycoming.
