WE need to keep this thread going about news from the factory. Harry , Rachael, Winston jump in there anytime.
I have requested the latest News from the Factory & will post it with the TOC newsletter, and on the web site too.
Rachael tells me it is 70 degrees and sunny at the factory. Hmmmmm maybe they need a old hasbeen test pilot....

Keep them parts a coming. bye Forrest

      C.G. Taylor Documentary

Attention Taylorcrafters ! I plan to be visiting the factory in Texas to shoot footage of assembly activites for the documentary. Harry Ingram has extended me an invitation, and has original jigs used in assembly operations. I plan to be at the factory for the fly-in in May too. Let's all get to Texas !... I lived in Houston for a few years, while working on various film productions. There's no other place like Texas. Happy T-crafting !... G. Kent Brown... If folks haven't gotten a glimpse of the new factory yet, take a look at my web page section on my tour back in September. It's at http://taylorcraft.info/tcraft/factory.htm

Latest news from Harry is that the PolyFiber team's coming to the factory has been set back to March. Harry has invited anyone who is interested to come down and visit and learn along with his staff about the covering process. Anyone with a project not yet at the covering stage should try to make it if they possibly can.

Exact dates to come (as soon as I recover my 23,000+ e-mails after this new Windoz upgrade )

Here we are again time for the Taylorcraft Owner Club newsletter insert from the Taylorcraft Foundation. I will be contacting Harry to see if he wants to give us the latest from the factory..... or maybe Yelow Duck will do all that.
WE had another tragedy up here in Ohio , a good friend Art Close was killed with a passenger in a two-place modified Air Comand Gyro plane. I am involved with the investigation.

Re: Factory contact info as of 11/1/03

Just got off the phone with Harry. He told me the FAA signed off the fuel tanks today. Manufacturing the tanks begins immediately. The TaylorSport has been started with 25 orders for Taylorcraft airplanes. He is talking with Continental for the O-200. Continental has told him they are bringing back the O-200 for production. They hope to have them available in a few months.
Harry is very excited. Looks like he has finally convinced the powers that be,
that the Taylorcraft is alive and well.

Re: Factory contact info as of 11/1/03

I will be writing the insert for the Taylorcraft Owners Club Newsletter tonight. Bruce is still in Aultman Hospital after another relapse. Please send cards and notes to the home address for the TOC. I will update his condition on the front page for the Foundation tomorrow.
In the mean time it is past 9PM on Dec 16 , and there is no official word from Harry Ingram and the factory. I e-mailed him directly last Sunday.
I did receive my General Aviation News magazine with an article on Taylorcraft www.GeneralAviationNews.com please read it .... Meg Godlewski did a great job. I had a purpose to stay out of the article. She called, we talked. I appreciate her professionalism .

                  bye for now Forrest Barber
