  • News & views from Taylorcraft Factory

I have started this thread since Mike Rice & I have established a good relationship. He will keep us up on the Factory progress via www.taylorcraft.com It has been recently revised. WE are linked correctly again. Go to it , it has great information. I know , I know! Here we go again. Please no negatives till we see if the New parts are coming out and the LSA ship goes on a diet
The good sign was that when I checked out the link to the Foundation from the Factory site, I found that Bob Ollerton had updated US too!
This dedication on a Sunday just brings tears to me eyes! OR was it the Cold NE Ohio air as I was shooting Aerial photos this morning, brrrr burned right through my gloves... BUT I GOT TO FLY today. thanks Bob, thanks Mike Go for it Harry!
Lets hear about any visits , parts orders, Jim Zanagger;; How did she fly?

Re: News & views from Taylorcraft Factory

I just got back from eastern Ohio Saturday. Got a type in a Citation III and will be moving to northwest Iowa soon so haven't been on line much lately.

My only experience with Taylorcrafts is limited to the 46' BC12-D's so I didn't have a referenece how it might compare to the F-19's or F-22's. I was pleasantly surprised that it flew very much like I would have expected and was actually a little more stable than mine. Probably due to a little heavier weight than mine. Climb was very impressive at about three or four times my normal rate! Cruise was only marginally faster than the 65. I'd like to fly it against a 65 using the same power settings or at least the same speeds and see how the numbers come out.

It was an honor to have had the priviledge to fly the first flight and the first ten hours on the new airplane. Everything was very predictable and it should be a very nice plane. Each airplane they build after the first one will be progressivly better and better!

Great enthusiasm by the employees there and good work ethics. Everyone was very excited to see their work come to life.

    Jim

Tribe, has any Sport T-Crafts been actually sold and delivered ? To whom ? Where ?

Would still like to have one, but waiting until someone actually has taken one from the factory.

Re: News & views from Taylorcraft Factory

          was at the factory today.
saw lots of planes being worked on doing some total rebuilds for around $.25,000. Got some parts, I 'm hoping that Harry can do it.
We as Tcraft owners need to support him. This is our
          future as for parts guys.
Look for him at Sun and Fun and Oshkosh this year.
