Good things about Harry?.. Wow!.. That ought to be a long, time consuming search.. let's see, OH YEAH!! He GOES TO CHURCH... so that mus... OH wait, Thats probably just part of his game.. Maybe the "God Bless" he put's at the end of every post will make everything all right.... If anyone's in the La Grange area, Just stop in any coffee shop and mention his name, then just sit back, and watch all the ruckus. NOTE TO HARRY!, WHERE IS EVERYONES MONEY???????

Another sore subject with me. I've got a VERY low tolerance for people who are always throwing God's name around when they talk, but act very unreligously (is that a word?) in their deeds.

Craig, I am glad you mentioned that. I was VERY suspicous the first time I saw his ending on correspondence. Just the other day a cabinet maker I deal with and myself were discussing this very same issue. We both shared experience that some of the very worst vipers we had dealings with had the same MO. REALLY sad as it only hurts that much more when they do this. Devils work at his best.

Harry will meet his maker some day. Enough said on this dude.
On a lighter note lets all try and focus on the next steps. Anyone game to be in the Taylorcraft business??

          Howdy Jim & tribe,

Last night, I was musing about the aircraft mfg business. If 50 or so folks put up about 10-15K each, that would be a very good start towards properly capitalizing a fledgling company. With proper mngmt and a price tag of about 70-75K for a base Taylorcraft the company would stand a very good chance of doing OK. No one would get rich but the company would be sound and ongoing and there would be a ready source for acft parts.

          Thoughts anyone?
          Best Regards

How much would it take? That depends on if it's before or after Harry get's cuffed, and hauled to jail... In a meeting, Harry told all of us that the total debt load for the entire business was approx, Five hundred thousand dollars... Of course I dont know if that sum covers all the money he has cheated every one out of, or just money owed the suppliers.. If it goes into recievership, then IM sure the banks will be willing to negotiate...

Hell,I've got a few friends that would help....and if $500,000 is all it takes I could almost cover it myself.....Of course I'd have to sell my wifes almost finished new house,my 200 acres(including my 4000' of grass that is just starting to hold up good in the wet season),and kiss up to the bank.....but I could do it.However,if I could talk my friends into an investment that would probably take most of there lives to see profit from(hell of a tax break maybe)then I could keep the house(and the wife),and the 4000' of grass would be ideal to relocated a grass roots company.
To those who know and those who may read but not comment, please keep me informed and share all the info you can with me.I may be interested.

                  Re: Defense of Harry

We should all keep a close eye on this. I think everyone has come to the realization that failure is inevitable if it hasn't already occurred. I would think that the assets will ultimately be for sale, probably at a fire sale price. If anyone learns of any information, I think it would be in everyone's interest to post the info on the site. Perhaps someone with integrity, a real interest in Taylorcraft, and some business sense will pop out of the crowd and be able to act quickly enough to save everything.

Hey guy's! That sure sounds like a good idea!.. IM sure it wont be long before Harry's cuffed and hauled away.. and the place would be for sale.. fire sale price at that... And it needs to be done in the next few coupla weeks, before he hauls everything down to Brownsville...There are quite a few Things left to buy tool wise.. Harry NEVER had all the jigs and tools to build a complete plane... Even when he was advertising he was going to have the first sport plane flying by May 21 for the fly in, He had NO IDEA how it was going to be finished, and neither did any of us.. To interested parties.. I can assembly a list of jigs and tools the plant still needs to actually build an entire airplane.... Bob

P.S. I think everyone should call the city of Brownsvilles economic board and the mayors office, and tell them whats headed thier way.. Not only Harry's aircraft past, but also when Chrylser corporation kick him to the curb with his dealership... Bob

Whewwww Bob Macey (Aircraftman1) called me a while back and felt maybe there was censorship on the Forumn. I explained to him that it did get a bit wild at one time. Bob Ollerton, myself and other monitors only insist that the truth be told, no profainity & no threats.....
then we did lose a lot when we had to shut down and get the hackers out of the site....
I have been away for five days rescueing a Taylorcraft. I just had a call from a gentleman who may be able to take over any projects that are not being done in a timely fashion, watch for more on this .
Lets see that we have only one thread on Factory problems and check out the aol one too!! Bob did work at LaGrange for Harry and does have the inside track...... as he sees it. Bob WE understand what you are saying, NOW let us get some recent information going on the move or attempted move and other stuff relating to folks who have projects there or parts owed..... bye Forrest

                          Re: Defense of Harry

Forrest, I have a plane that was removed from the factory in pieces, along with another man's the same day. Agreed, it would be nice to see civility reurn to the forum. It will be at least 12 months before my mechanic will know the truth about what parts are missing or damaged because of his work load. Any who have assumed the assembly of a basket case can attest to the uncertainties. Harry was a gentleman and tried to be fair about a partial refund and removal of the aircraft. There is really no way to compensate unfortunately. He had made "some" progress toward the completion of the project. It has yet to be seen if a postdated refund clears the bank. From a shade tree mechanics perspective though, some responsibility should rest on shoulders other than Harry. I don't believe he was the one who scatterred my parts around the warehouse without labeling which aircraft they belonged too, or broke the glass. He had tried to gather as much of the aircraft as possible in one spot before my arrival to remove the bird. However, the struts were missing, a gas tank was in the pile that did not belong there, and the windshield and side windows were broken. He did provide a brand new gas tank to replace the missing one. I wish him success as I'm sure I will have missing parts to acquire in the future. That success however should not come at the excessive expense of others. I believe the move to Brownsville will not address the problems that clients have experienced. Good, cared for, and motivated mechanics, and an owner/salesman in touch with the realities of an A&P and the Feds would go further than a change in manufacturing location. -ken 907-952-0357 (N3698T in pieces)

                            Re: Defense of Harry

I would probably be interested in investing, providing that those that do so are on the board. No slight of hand and nothing under the table. Just good honest business.

I also believe there will be a fire sale. Harry is bond to go bankrup, unless some Mexican connection have bought into the factory already. That is where I would be if I were him.

Please lets keep everyone posted and see what happens.

                              My opinion, Bob Macey

"Harry was a gentleman and tried to be fair about a partial refund and removal of the aircraft. There is really no way to compensate unfortunately," Oh Yes!.. IM sure we ALL agree that Harry is a charmer, and QUITE the Gentleman...Thats how he has gotten away with his scamming for so long....Yes, Harry is something else. and the city of Brownville is welcoming him with open arms, while they seem to simply ignore the stacks of mounting evidence that Harry's out to cheat everyone in his path.. Brownsville sure wont be able to say they weren't warned, and will soon have egg on their face....

"It has yet to be seen if a postdated refund clears the bank." That's a safe bet it won't. I just got a phone call from a check cashing place. Harry told me a check I had would clear with no problem, but of course, it's now bounced!.. Yes sir, Mr. Big Bucks Harry Ingrams check bounced, for a whole $171.46!, Thats one hundred and seventy one dollars and fourty six cents!... I just got the phone call this afternoon... I sure was not going to put it in my checking account, I knew better. so I cashed it at One Star check Cashing in Dallas, Telephone number : 972 272 4272 Now I have to go pick it up, along with ANOTHER $25.00 hot check fee! Harry, you never stop do you?

One thing Harry has done is make his wife Darleen sign all the checks that have been bouncing all over the United States, from coast to coast... Now, when the place is raided, and their busted, SHE'LL BE GOING TO JAIL TOO!.. Nice move HARRY! Have you NO SHAME AT ALL?... HARRY INGRAM, WHERE'S OUR MONEY?
