Alright, here’s your link to pumpkin smashing fame. If this link does not work just Google “Stockton IL airport”, click on the map link there and then go to satellite view. You will see the airport low center. Drive in’s are welcome but you will have to pay for your chili.  This is all very low key, just relax for a bit, enjoy the camaraderie and watch others embarrass themselves showing off their bombing abilities. Or lack thereof! For those of you flying low wingers you may have to bum a ride with or talk a tail dragger friend in to coming. Two people in each participating aircraft, two pumpkins per take off; you can load and launch as many times as you want or we run out of bombs. ATTA BOYS will be awarded on accuracy and showman ship. Of course it all depends on the weather, no rain date planned unless there is demand and the pumpkins will not go to goo on my trailer. I AM ASKING FOR A $10 DONATION FROM EACH PARTICIPANT TO BE GIVEN TO OUR EAA 475 CHAPTER. I WILL HAVE PUMKINS, A TARGET, SOFT DRINKS, HOT CHILI, AND A BON FIRE IF IT IS COLD. IF REALLY COLD I MAY JUST FORGO THE CHILI ON SITE AND PROVIDE A RIDE TO MY HOME TO EAT, ONLY A MILE AWAY. I WOULD LIKE AN RSVP BUT NOT CRITICAL. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF OUT WITH NO DESTINATION IN MIND FLY IN ANYWAY. THE AIRPORT IS ONE MILE SE BY S OF STOCKTON. THE RUNWAY IS 100’x2,000’ WITH A SLIGHT RISE IN THE MIDDLE TO KEEP YOU ON YOUR TOES.
