You know im not a Real Alaskan, just a wanabee . Maybe when i was 40 but at 56 its too late for me to relocate to the land of The Midnight Sun the ice and snow where the cold wind blows. Wife would never go for it now. Then again she might but in all fairness to her i have to stay in warmer climates. As you probably know i bought what is sure to be my last house in Cherokee Village on lake Thunderbird. Its a 3 bed 3 bath 6 car garage on 1.84 acres. Single storey with a dock 20 feet facing east off the front porch. Sun in the morning shade in the afternoon. So many pine trees i can't see my neighbors.
With the lake , trees , fish and airport 2 miles away its what i would call my "little Alaska in Arkansas". Not the real thing but as close as i will ever get in this lifetime. The thing a man has to do to take care of his woman in their golden years . Not that im ruling out coming to visit you and the Alice May mind you but im trying to be real of my situation and now put myself in a stupor over what i have made out of my life. My biggest regret is not working on the Alaskan pipeline when i had the chance as i know i would still be there with you now. I Might still be thinking of retiring to a warmer climate if i was there now but im sure it would have been a glorious 30 plus years . Yes i still would have the same wife too as shes a trooper in that respect, A stand by your man woman. If you ever fly by Denali Wilderness lodge drop in and see my high school friend Dave Thompson, tell him Norm Heimberger the misplaced soul sent you . He will understand.

Longer days soon...!

I understand exactly where Norm is coming from...! I will probably have to take my bride of 37 years back to the warm country one of these days. Who can put a price on women like these! This bird must be trying to decoy "07 Mike" down into Norm's ,soon to be, neck of the woods!. The days here will be getting longer in about 6 days, so I think we will make it. Dick

He,s been married 37 years. Its been 37 years for the wife and i on Dec 7 2003 . Seems Pearl Harbor wasn't the only one bombed that day.
Maybe he might move to Arkansas?

Alaska is calling

I will be in Anchorage next month. 1/12/04 til the end of Jan.
I am sure I will have some free time on the weekends. I would
enjoy seeing some the T-crafts and hear about flying in Alaska.
I was up last March and loved the trip. I have been asked to look
at the F-19 for sale if it is still there when I get there.

Udo Cassee in anchorage n3571t was posted for sale.
I have been asked to look at it. I would enjoy meeting you and other t-crafters in Alaska. I only know a few folks up there. They live in Fairbanks. That seems to far to drive in the winter. I am hoping to get another trip in the summer and visit them then.
This trip it would be nice to hear about flying Alaska in a t-craft.
