  • Duh.

This was so amazing that I couldn't resist saying something about it somewhere. Congrads; I'm doing it here.

The AP reported last week via the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper that Duke University has made further progress towards being able to make objects invisible. Seems they succeeded at microwave frequecies, and now are moving the frequencies up toward the visible spectrum with some success. Like stealth, you know.

Here's the kicker. The research is sponsored by:

    Raytheon Missile systems
    The US Airforce
    and...
Three different Peoples Republic of China research institutes.

Need I mention that the Chinese military controls or is attached to most everything in China, particularly any research institution.

There was no comment by the AP or the Chronicle as to the insanity of such dealings.

When were Newspaper prople suppose to think. Besides they are all probably
thinking about keeping their jobs instead of the ramifications of what they report.

      Re: Duh.

Ain't globalization great? We do most anything the Chinese want. They in turn now own us. When we borrow, we borrow from China, (less from Japan.)Even many of our military uniforms are made in China! Meanwhile our taxpayers and job seekers are getting screwed. Lobbyists, who get WELL PAID, have somehow convinced the American public that we can compete with 4 dollar a day labor and no benefits. This is the voters fault. They are to blame. A good book to read is "Free Lunch" by David Cay Johnston, a prof at Syracuse Univ. Its a best seller and explains how you and I cave in to big business, who in turn give us a good f-------!

What else are the Chinese doing:

Invisibility Undone: Chinese Scientists Demonstrate How To Uncloak An Invisible Object
ScienceDaily (Sep. 4, 2008) — Harry Potter beware! A team of Chinese scientists has developed a way to unmask your invisibility cloak.

Wonder where they got the information to be able to do that?
