After several days of cool air with the hot sun cooking the surface to make serious thermals it finally calmed down and got hot and quiet. Had been bouncing around, even banged my head once, in the turbulence, so I was glad to get a chance to fly in smooth air. Went out early in the am before it got too hot (up to 95 F later) and did some pattern work. Smooth as glass. Found that after six months off I could still roll one on if I wasn't being tossed around by turbulence. Got above pattern and checked lateral trim at various cruise speeds. Maybe just a bit better than before. Pretty much hands off, just needs a hint of left aileron/rt rudder at higher cruise, so I am happy with the front strut(s) installation. Great to be back in the air.
