  • Poletics and Antique Aircarft Rules.

Is anyone interested in and want to see The antique aircraft rules com into effect. If you are join in with EAA and have your voise heard.
We in the north ( Canada) would very much like to have it but our DoT listens to FAA as it has be common rules or we will not be allowed to cross the boarder, as is the case with our Owner Mantained aircrafts.
FAA would not accept what rule. Some bad rulings extended in to aircrafts model what it was not intended for in the beging.
Excluded in Canada are: Retractable gear, multi engine, constand speed props, Over X HP( 200 I think)
Is Taylor craft Foundation members interested in this subject?
In the Owner Maintinence planes an annual cost $ 400 - $500 for things an owner generaly do not have tools or knowledge about, instead of $800 to $1000
Less work for IA's maybe but it becomes easyer for many to keep this nice old birds.
    Len.
