IQ test for politicians

Everyone does or says something stupid on occasion, but having noticed the tendency of politicians to do both often, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have some standard national test that all seekers (and holders) of public office would have to take.
Just some kind of general intelligence test that would at least establish that there was maybe a little better than average functional intelligence for the people who make decisions that affect the security and solvency of the country and seriously affect people's lives.
Wouldn't protect us from the wackos, but it might sort out the people who can't even think.

I thought the problem might be the politicians are running the government, but the people who actually, really know how to run the country are working as barbers and taxi drivers!

General requierment for a person running for puplic office:
1. Minimum of privat pilot license. Minimum experience:1 ground loop or 500 Hr as Pilot in commad.
Either the person is a bragger or annest, whatever, it can now be verified by the log book.
Piloting an aircraft is a fight with elements of killer quality, with a much lesser vapon when needed,
Surrvival is a sign of humbleness, good planing skills, and political will to back down when the odds are aginst you.
And foremost having the guts to do it over again next weekend!

2. Have some military experiece. Minimum rank off Corpral.
Knows how not to back down under pressure from the lower ranks.
And know how to say :Yes Sir!when the higher up's are speaking.

3a. Be married to a intellegent and well educated woman!
Minmium time:11 years.
Someone to bounce crazy ideas onto and find out if the ideas have a chanse in the real world.

Alternativly: having 3 teen agers at home, to ask what to do.
Teenagers have lots of good information, and are very knowagable.
This will ashure a broad knowage base.
As teenager sometime can be short and ruff in there communation.
They provide good training in listening to the citisens, what sometime behaves in a similar maner.

4. Manadatory retirerment from puplic office @ age 55, with small pension.
Just so we dont end upp with a lot of stale ideas.

At age 55, most teen are gone out of the house, wifes have asked for a divorce, and/or the plane is last in a ground loop# 3. or 'repoed'

At age 55 the person needs a brake and a way back to normality, A job.

If the person has to much tax free pension income he or she will never be a good tax payer.(;f
This way, we the general puplic will also recive some help in paying for any screw ups.

I've always maintained there should be a test for voters. That way, the same yutzes won't keep voting for the same yutzes over and over again.
